Charles Kennedy MP joined the team in Sedgefield today as Greg Stone's campaign in Sedgefield moved up a gear. Charles was met by dozens of supporters on a walkabout in Newton Aycliffe Market.

Charles said, "I am here in Sedgefield to show my support for Greg Stone in what is an excellent campaign. It was clear from talking to market traders and shoppers that support is growing for Greg and his positive campaign. One thing I know is that Liberal Democrats fight to win. Sedgefield would benefit from a full-time MP with a record of action. Another Labour MP would not make any difference and certainly wouldn't end the neglect of much of this constituency."
